Katie and James’s Waverly Ga Wedding was an incredible day filled with personal touches, emotional moments, and some really fun surprises. To begin with, their love story started in the most adventurous way—they met while on tour with Jurassic World. James, being the bold one, made the first move. Later on, he took things to the next level by proposing to Katie during a cruise to Cozumel. How awesome is that?
When it came time to choose a venue, they decided on Honey Creek because of its rustic charm and stunning waterfront views. It was the perfect setting for their big day. As soon as guests arrived, they were greeted by one of the coolest surprises—James had gifted Katie a bouquet made entirely out of LEGOs, which was displayed at the entrance. This thoughtful and unique gesture set the tone for the day.
Moving on to the ceremony, family played a big role. Since James’s mom had passed away, they created a special memorial to honor her memory. Furthermore, James shared an emotional mother-son dance with his stepmom, who has been such an important figure in his life. It was a truly touching moment that resonated with everyone.
Katie, being the youngest of five siblings, also had a special moment with her dad. They did a first look, and it was so sweet and emotional. Plus, Katie and James had their own first look, and it was just as moving. James couldn’t hold back his emotions when he saw Katie in her dress. They then exchanged private vows on the bridge facing the water, creating an intimate moment just for the two of them.
As the ceremony began, there was a little twist—just as they were about to start, it began to rain. However, they quickly adapted and moved the ceremony to the porch. Afterward, the rain stopped just in time for them to have their first dance in the original ceremony spot. And to make it even more magical, a rainbow appeared as a symbolic moment to the commencement of their life together
Moreover, the surprises didn’t stop there. A family member surprised them with a classic car for their portraits. Not only was this car a beautiful addition to their photos, but it also had been featured in movies, which was super special for James is a producer and since he was on tour with Peter Pan the Musical at the time. The car added a fun and cinematic touch to their day.
A few months before the wedding, Katie and James had their engagement session at Jekyll Island Resort and Driftwood Beach. These locations were not only beautiful but also meaningful to them. Additionally, if you’re planning a wedding in South Georgia, you might want to consider checking out venues like Jekyll Island Resort, Crane Cottage, Villas by the Sea Resort, and Cherokee Cottage—they’re all great options.
In conclusion, Katie and James’s wedding was a day full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. From the LEGO bouquet to the surprise classic car, everything came together to create a truly special celebration of their journey together. Even when things didn’t go exactly as planned, those unexpected moments made the day even more memorable.
