Katie & James | A Sunrise Engagement Session in Jekyll Island. We set out on a down-to-earth engagement session that captured the essence of their love story. From the weathered beauty of Driftwood Beach to the historic sites of Jekyll Island Club Resort and Crane’s Cottage. The couple explored these iconic locations with a mix of excitement and nostalgia.
Their Love story
Their story began on a Jurassic World tour where James, feeling a spark, made the first move that would shape their future. When he popped the question in Cozumel, it was an unexpected yet sweet moment marking the beginning of their journey towards forever.
Sunrise at Jekkyl Island Ga.
On their engagement session , We started in Jekyll Islands Driftwood beach. While Katie spends most of her days working at the Jekyll Island Convention Center, she had never set foot on Driftwood Beach. Choosing this location for their engagement session was not only a beautiful choice but now holds a special place in their hearts.
As the sun peeked over the horizon, I got to learn a little more about them. Additionally we listened to the waves crash and captured their love along the way. Transitioning to the luxurious surroundings of Jekyll Island Resort, with manicured gardens and spanish moss along with beautiful architecture. Katie and James shared moments of laughter , silliness and joy that were perfectly documented through their session. We ended in the stunning gardens of Crane’s Cottage which gave secret garden vibes.
A Waverly, Georgia Wedding
Their upcoming wedding at Cedar Lodge on Honey Creek in Waverly, GA, holds a special place in their hearts. Katie, the youngest of five siblings, fell in love with the rustic charm of the venue. She especially loved the bridal suite and the venues waterfront view. With Katie’s brother stepping in as the officiant, their wedding promises to be a heartfelt affair filled with personal touches and family connections.
As they look ahead to their big day, James and Katie’s love story is a blend of real moments, shared experiences, and the everyday joys of life. I cant wait to document their most important day and watch it unfold, grounded in the reality of two people who have found their forever in each other.
