You all know how much I love shooting weddings & engagements.  Maternity & newborn sessions, however, hold a special place in my heart!  This Florida maternity (& newborn) session was extra special! I had the honor of photographing my real life neighbors Neruzka, Yonisel, and their son, Thiago, to celebrate their newest addition. Maternity & newborn sessions are so much fun to be a part of because it’s celebrating one of the most joyous occasions life has to offer. These were two very special sessions!

Jacksonville Maternity Session

Treaty Oak Park in Jacksonville was the perfect location to capture this Florida maternity session for this sweet family.  It’s such a beautiful location and outdoor options are always great when involving little ones.  They weren’t made to be still, so why force it?  Thiago got to explore the park while we made magic with Neruzka near the Treaty Oak.  There’s just something almost fairy-tale like about it, which perfectly suited the occasion of welcoming new life into the world.

Yoni was such a trooper in helping with Thiago during the session. I loved that they kept the comb on hand to make sure that his hair was perfectly in place because he knew how much these photos meant to Neruzka. Doesn’t Thiago just look like the sweetest little gentleman in his suspenders? It’s so much fun to get to incorporate older siblings into maternity shoots!  Neruzka is so loving and nurturing towards her sweet boy and it’s clear that the new baby is incredibly blessed to get to join this family! 

Maternity Client Closet 

Pregnancy is such a beautiful time and it deserves to be celebrated accordingly! This gown added a touch of glam to an already beautiful glowing Mama to be. The gorgeous pink gown Neruzka is wearing in the maternity shots is actually an add-on option for my maternity clients! I love having different options in my client closet to offer to my clients. It takes one more task off their plates during an incredibly busy season of life. Why buy expensive pieces that you’re likely only going to wear once when you can borrow from me for your session? 

Newborn Session

Shortly after our maternity shoot Neruzka & Yoni welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Thiana, into the family. One of the biggest perks of being a photographer is getting to see clients, friends, and neighbors experience major milestones.  Getting to see this family through from maternity to a newborn baby girl was such a blessing. Isn’t she gorgeous? As much as I love weddings and engagement shoots, you just can’t beat that newborn scent and getting to snuggle new bundles all day! 

Neruzka & Yoni, thank you so much for trusting me with photographing your beautiful family. You two are doing such a phenomenal job raising those sweet babies and I so enjoyed getting to capture these precious moments for you.
