Weddings are individually unique love stories. I love when a couple embraces their own style and breaks wedding industry “norms” to have their day, their way. Cypres and Adam created the most beautiful, moody gothic wedding at The Clay Theatre in Green Cove Springs, Florida. I have never photographed a wedding quite like this one! Cypres requested a moody editing style for her photos, so I broke away from my traditional editing style and got creative. Everything about this wedding day was an artistic inspiration!
Cypres’s wedding look was beautifully bold, unique and completely her own! She chose a non-traditional, velvet black wedding dress Phoenix by Claire Pettibone from White Blossom Bridal that really set the tone for the day. Cypres paired the dress with black boots that were the perfect complement to her style. Her bridal hair and make up by Cathee took her look above and beyond. I absolutely loved the hairpieces used in her hairstyle. With a look as bold as Cypres’s, Adam had to look the part himself! His teal suit from Gentlemen’s Guru paired with teal Nike’s to match were the perfect accent to Cypres’s teal hairpiece. They were both truly a work of art together.
The love this couple has for one another is as bold as their style. You could feel the connection between them as Adam and Cypres locked eyes down the aisle. Their sweet boy standing with them as they said their vows made it all the more special. The Clay Theatre decorated with moody pieces from The Dimestore Cowgirl Shop created the perfect stage for their story to take place. It was a beautiful ceremony in a fun and unique venue!
The reception was as fun as you’d expect from a couple like Cypres and Adam. Their reception space was as beautifully decorated as any other part of their day. DJ Paul Burns of Panda Entertainment did an excellent job of keeping everyone on their feet! The food catered by ESF Catering was as good as it looked. I also love that this couple continued to break the wedding “norms” by choosing a cookie cake by Publix as their wedding cake! To finish off the night, they had a romantic, private last dance together. Then they rolled out with a bang in a beautiful car from Classic Motor Car Service! The whole day was one I won’t soon forget.
The takeaway from this wedding is that your day is your day! Don’t be afraid to have a day that looks like no one else’s because your love story isn’t unoriginal. It’s unique and your wedding day should reflect the unique personality of your relationship. Whatever your style, whatever your vibe, incorporate it into your day so you’ll have no regrets. Begin the journey of your marriage true to yourselves. It will be as beautiful as you think!
