Kara and Andrew’s Miami Wedding at The Palms Hotel & Spa was as relaxing as it was beautiful. Set along the beachfront in Miami, their October celebration blended tropical surroundings with thoughtful design choices that complemented the space. Their focus stayed where it mattered most: family, presence, and a day that felt genuinely enjoyable from start to finish.

The Palms Hotel & Spa is an excellent choice for intimate Miami weddings for a few reasons. The property sits directly on the beach, but what stands out just as much are the tropical gardens, shaded pathways, and tucked-away ceremony spaces that allow for variety without needing to leave the venue. Couples also have the option for in-house catering, and coordinated planning support. These features make it easier for couples to create a seamless, guest-focused experience.

For ceremonies, the gazebo is one of the most recognizable features on the property. Surrounded by greenery and framed with florals, it creates a natural focal point that doesn’t require heavy styling. There are also options for beachfront ceremonies or garden settings, depending on the experience a couple wants to create. The flexibility extends into the reception as well, with indoor spaces available for a more controlled environment while still keeping the tropical atmosphere close by.
It’s also worth noting that venues like this typically book well in advance, so planning at least a year ahead gives couples the best chance at securing their preferred date.

Kara and Andrew originally planned to celebrate in Panama, but they shifted their plans to Miami to make it easier for family to attend. That decision shaped the entire day in a meaningful way, allowing them to stay present instead of navigating travel logistics. The ceremony, decorated with a color palette of white, sage, & burnt orange, took place at the gazebo. The surrounding greenery, palm trees, and white floral arrangements created a very tropical, relaxed feel. With a guest list of around fifty, the celebration felt close-knit without feeling limited.

Following the outdoor ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour while Kara and Andrew stepped away for portraits. The property offered plenty of variety for photos, from the gardens to the beachfront, allowing them to move between locations without disrupting the flow of the evening. Sunset along the water added another layer to their portraits, while the interior spaces provided a completely different feel for the reception that followed. They even included their pet Corgi for a few of the shots!

Inside, the reception carried forward the same thoughtful approach seen throughout the day. Kara changed into a shorter dress, which allowed her to move easily between conversations, dancing, and time on the floor with their guests. Personalized elements, including custom cocktail signage and palm-inspired fans, made the day uniquely theirs.
As the evening continued, guests moved from heartfelt speeches into a full dance floor that stayed active through the night. When it came time for their send-off, guests bid the newlyweds farewell with streamers at their exit. It brought the day to a celebratory end that felt lighthearted and laid back, just like Kara & Andrew had hoped.
