Attending New York Bridal Fashion Week 2024 was an incredible experience, and as a wedding photographer, I couldn’t help but soak up the inspiration from the latest trends. This year, I had the pleasure of witnessing the stunning collections from Galia Lahav, Ines Di Santo, Nicole + Felicia and SenStudio. Let me tell you, these designers did not disappoint at The New York Bridal Fashion Week Fall 2024 collection.
One thing that immediately stood out to me was the return of corsetry in bridal fashion, but with a modern twist. Gowns featured beautifully structured corsets, highlighted by visible bone stitching that added a touch of edginess and elegance. Many of these corsets were paired with sheer, see-through mesh that gave the dresses a light, ethereal feel while maintaining a bold, sultry edge. It’s that perfect balance between classic romance and contemporary allure.
Textures were everywhere! From delicate lace and intricate embroidery to 3D appliqué and layered tulle. The gowns were all about depth and dimension. These textured details created movement and brought each gown to life, making them feel like works of art.
One of the most exciting shifts I noticed was with veils. Traditional , simple veils took a back seat as designers embraced florals, jewels, and intricate embellishments. Galia Lahav, Ines Di Santo, and Nicole + Felicia all leaned into this trend, adding drama to bridal looks. With floral-adorned veils or ones that sparkled with beaded jewels, perfectly complementing the gowns’ textures.
I loved Kleinfeld SenStudios concept of love letters with a veil you can customize with your names vows or anything special or significant to you.
New York Bridal Fashion Week Fall 2024 has set the stage for brides who want to embrace modernity while honoring classic bridal silhouettes. I can’t wait to see how these trends come to life in weddings throughout the year
